Tech-driven materials embedded with intelligenc

The nine installations named Preamble-2 ways, OK Computer, Room of illusions, The Time Box, Augur, Armour of Weakness, Textile Waste, Tornado, and Phoenix each portray unique and out of the box concepts which bring the viewers into thinking the extent to which human&injection molding china39;s reckless attitude can cause harm. As an organization, Josmo is conscious of giving back to the environment in our bid to replenish what we take. Mirror, impermanent and adaptive, signifies the endless possibilities of the future. The exhibition also gives one a sneak peek into a time where plastic emerges from the polluted morass it finds itself in, like the prodigal son, to revive itself as a sustainable material with infinite possibilities which will form a positive part of our future.

"Material has the potential to tell a story. For this particular installation, for 64 sq ft of floor space, we pledge to plant 64 trees - a thought that will outlive 'The Time Box. Materiology, an ongoing art exhibition in Delhi showcases art installations by nine senior architects and designers and makes one contemplate mankind's irresponsible attitude. The use of well-chosen fibre, texture, grains, coarseness, malleability, tactility among other material succeed in narrating the theme quite well. Wood, nature's bounty, embodies the earthy now."Materiology has given the designers freedom to design and a platform to show their creativity in a new and purposeful nature. But we never give a thought about today. We combined it with technology, 3D printing to convey a potent mesغير مجاز مي باشدe relevant in current times of insecure world". After all who doesn't want to know what will happen #whentomorrowbecomestoday?" opines Pramiti Madhavji, Co-Curator of Materiology, in the end.'

"These installations thus take the viewers to a trance, a future where plastic is not # a foe anymore. The designers tell their stories through their selected materials, connecting the dots of the nuances of its applied nature and what it can predict in coming times. Artists and designers, the crafters of the material, on the other hand use their skill and creativity to materialise this expression and to abstract it to allow infinite interpretations," says Amit Gupta, Curator of Materiology and founder of STIR.What matters to us most is what is going to happen tomorrow.. In the words of RED, an architectural collective.

"Tech-driven materials embedded with intelligence may be the future, but what resonated with us was material that has been around, something we are all familiar with - concrete.Taking about one of the installation Designer Anjali Mody says, "Fashioned out of wood and mirror, the dual materials of the 'Time Box' represent the past and the future. The show intends to captivate the audience with a unique theme that narrates the changing ecological systems, shifting human behaviour, different adaptations of the built environment, and intervention of technologies such as Artificial intelligence and more. The exhibition is on till Feb 25 at STIR Gallery, DLF Chattarpur Farms

When I was in my third year of architecture

com. I don’t get into creating realistic food items straight away. Recently my friend was over while I was creating the paneer tikka miniature, and she started picking up everything and pretended to eat it. However, I have spoken to a few restaurants and China two color injection molding machine brands about creating miniatures for them. You get everything there. Also, even though I’ve made them before, I don’t really enjoy making cars, cameras, and figurines.

What is the most challenging miniature you've created? The butter that’s on top of the pav bhaji miniature was challenging. Later I realised I could make it look more realistic, challenge myself, and turn it into a serious art form. Even the ramen bowl was quite challenging.)Take us through the process of making one of your miniatures. What's the most memorable compliment you've received for your work? When people say, “I thought it was real”, that’s the biggest compliment for me. Challenge yourself and be consistent. They didn’t even know something like this was possible.Do you have a favourite area in Mumbai?Apart from Wadala where I live, I love Bandra village. I got on to Instagram on my friends’ insistence, and then people started contacting me to ask if they could buy the miniatures. It’s funny, but the fact that she wants to eat it even though it’s not real makes me very happy. I usually work on 10 pieces at a time, because if I make more it gets monotonous and hampers my creativity. I just wanted to make cute things that could be used by people. I feel bad when buildings go for redevelopment to make way for monotonous structures.Any words of advice for budding miniature artists?Just go for it. The plan was never to sell, but eventually I started doing that. Everything else on the plate was ready, but I had to experiment a lot for the butter. Why food?I’m a big foodie. It’s the tiniest bit, but it took the most amount of time.

I even like the stretch of art deco buildings along Marine Drive. I used to make miniature flowers out of either play dough or regular atta. And with this I can combine two things I love – food and art. Whenever I’m in that area, I always take a walk to look at the buildings. Don’t compare yourself to anybody else. Whenever I’m out of ideas, I refer to that list of suggestions. I don’t have the actual food in front of me, so I have to replicate by referring to an image. (Tapasya sells miniatures from her Instagram page. It’s very important to be patient, because there is a lot of research involved. How do you decide what you want to create next?I get a lot of suggestions from people who contact me on social media. Even in school I would create art from waste materials like plastic bottles.— By arrangement with thecitystory. And I’m very particular about quality. Polymer clay contains particles of plastic and hardens on baking. Even after finding the image, I have to sit with it for a while to study and understand the colours and textures, because they are essential to making the miniature look realistic. That was a big revelation, and I was very excited about it. I started doing my own research and began experimenting. What next for Lovely Little Charms?I usually just go with the flow and take up opportunities that come along. So even if there’s a minor mistake.

I do it again. So let’s see how that goes. I have actually written down the exact proportion of different coloured clay that I had to mix to get this shade. When did you start making miniatures, and what inspired you?I was always very creative and inclined towards art. What’s the best place in Mumbai to procure art materials? The area around Crawford market, especially Abdul Rehman Street. When I initially tried to mix white and yellow to get the pale shade, it looked like a very weird neon green because of the chemical composition of the clay. When I was in my third year of architecture, I saw a video online that introduced me to polymer clay. Since I’ve been an architecture student, I tend to pay attention to buildings and structure, and there are some beautiful old buildings on the back of Colaba Causeway. It was very tough to get that colour right. A lot of the times its food that I really like. I also like Colaba. The first miniatures I made were a cookie, a doughnut and a bear on top of paperclips. Otherwise, I always check Pinterest for inspiration. It takes 3 to 4 days of work to complete one batch. When and how did you decide to turn this into a business? When I initially showed my friends the miniatures I had made, they were blown away. What is your frame of mind when you create?I usually work at night, because I can concentrate better when it’s quiet

When you dont have access to a toilet

"The river is so polluted that there are almost no fishes. Authorities are now forcing adivasis out of the national park..Aiming for a cleaner MumbaiLocal activist Jay Shringarpures initiative to clean the Dadar beach and spread awareness about waste and double color injection molding machine Manufacturers plastic management has ensured that others too join him in his crusade to get the filth out of the beach.Lending a voice to minoritiesAslam Saiyad, a photographer, has been documenting life along Mumbais rivers in his project Discovering The Forgotten Rivers Of Bombay. "In a place like Shivaji Nagar where the crime rates are so high, the women just needed somebody they can trust. Now the women have started to voice out, something they could never do at home. Out of the daily mundane life, you have to give something to your surroundings. When you are doing that, you are killing their culture, you are taking away their freedom. The treatment also prevents relapses, thereby bringing down the treatments. Lakhs of people live in Dadar and Mahim, if each one of them comes together to remove one plastic, the beaches would be cleaner," he says. "If one is free, then they should be having access to clean drinking water, electricity, and no threat of displacement. "When I was a teenager, a mentor asked me what it means to have a toilet.

He devised an alternative treatment called metronomic therapy, which reduces the financial burden on patients and also promises to improve the survival rate. "This was started in the rural outreach centre in Ratnagiri district where most of the patients were in the advanced stages and didnt have funds for expensive treatments. The idea is to spread awareness. They have supported each other and fought against the domestic violence issues that are so common here. The activist believes that it is the responsibility of every citizen to contribute towards the upkeep of the city. I felt there was a need to tell the story of the river and the people who are living around it.

That individual freedom is more important because you get it from the accessing basic sanitation because its a matter of your dignity," she says. "Initially, it was just me but with the help of social media, people from the area and different colleges, schools and NGOs started joining me and now it is a big group. And I had no idea, and so he replied saying that It means to have a freedom. "Many dont even want to seek treatment. "With freedom comes social responsibility towards your country. In this context, freedom means having an access to basic rights and service so that you can actually follow our dreams," says Suhani explaining how the foundation has made a difference in the lives of many women. From the hamlets inside Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) to urban slums of Govandi, we speak to four change makers from the city, to understand what freedom means to them and to their cause. This has helped us bring down the غير مجاز مي باشدt of a particular medicine from Rs 2-3 lakhs per month to only Rs 20," he explains.Access to basic sanitationSuhani Jalotas Myna Mahila Foundation employs women from slums to manufacture and sell affordable sanitary pads back into their communities thereby improving menstrual hygiene and providing stable employment. While the essence of freedom is different for every individual, no one understands its importance better than those involved in working towards social upliftment. Currently working on the issues faced by Adivasi communities in SGNP, Aslam explains how a trip to Dahisar village inspired his photography project. We are also repurposing the drugs, instead of introducing new ones. We have seen a tremendous change," she adds. What they call as gutter is actually a river," he says adding that the true meaning of freedom is access to basic facilities.

"When you dont have access to a toilet, pads or any other basic amenities, it restricts you from achieving your dreams. The doctor also revealed that the treatment has relieved patients from the guilt of being inflicted with the disease. His keen interest in the tribal and minority communities of Mumbai has also been showcased in the exhibitions that highlight their issues. Almost 60% of the existing plastic on the beach is gone, and whatever gets washed up, we remove every week," says the founder of Jay Foundation. If you come to Dadar beach now, you will see from the time we started till now, there is a huge difference.Making cancer treatment affordableDr. We want to give them the freedom to afford treatment, and freedom from feeling guilty," he adds. "In the normal treatment, we attack only the cancerous tumour, but in this, we not only attack but also change the micro-environment in which a tumour grows, which in turn changes the bodys immunity to restrict tumours growth," he says. Once we found the technique to be effective, we introduced it here. Shripad Banavali who heads the oncology department at the Tata Memorial Centre is revolutionising the cancer treatment to make it more accessible and affordable. Suhanis work also caught the attention of Meghan Markle, who became one of the foundations most supportive cheerleaders
